Before the event, De Rossi spoke about his project with Ostiamare, emphasizing its dual soul, social and soccer: “It is an initiative that helps so many kids, gets them away from the streets and consoles. Obstacles are there, such as timing and permits for the stadium, but nothing unexpected. The ranking situation was complicated at the beginning, now it is improving.”
Inevitable a question about his future as a coach. De Rossi has no doubts about his vocation: “Now I’m splitting my time with Ostiamare, but everyone knows what my passion is. I don’t know yet, but I hope soon.” A possible experience abroad is not ruled out: “It fascinates me a lot, I have traveled to study international soccer and improve a language. I had a lot of free time, but I used it to grow. Now I’m looking for a serious project with serious people.”
Finally, a comment on the possible appointment of Cesare Prandelli as technical director of the national team alongside Spalletti: “He would be a great added value, he can only do Italy good.”
