So much today in Mozzate at the anti-Empoli press conference with Cesc Fabregas, the Como coach. From the almost unveiled lineup even if the unknown is a stomach virus remedied in the Marbella retreat that is questioning some of the coach’s choices. Here are his words this morning….. (video above)
The players who have suffered this ailment – whom Cesc did not want to reveal who they are – could recover for tomorrow when Empoli is expected at 3 p.m. at the Sinigaglia. Crucial for salvation: “Our mentality is to always win, tomorrow important game with Empoli. Yesterday I spoke with the team we said we have to win every game from here to the end. I made a pact with the guys like last year after the defeat in Cremona…..The players are returning these days from the national teams, they have all arrived. On the formation I still have some doubts, there are some players with a stomach virus caught in the Marbella retreat.”
Certainly on the field tomorrow from the first minute Cutrone in attack in place of disqualified Paz. With him will be Strefezza and Diao who played in the national team with Senegal this week doing very well: “Tomorrow Assane (Diao) has to be important for us. And give us the charge. I believe that fatigue for them must be forgotten right away. The guys are ready, Sergi Roberto yes, probable from the start in midfield. Cutrone I saw well, he is a passionate player with great emotion. He has great will, he works and fights for the team. When he comes in he brings hunger and determination. Well, tomorrow Patrick plays and will score…..” this is Cesc’s prediction.

Those who come in must have the same intensity as those who were starters before. Now we have the good players to replace every role. The guys have to understand that those who come in have to give their all, they have to come in “fired up” to give their all for the team. I like this, we spend energy yes, but we have quality to replace those who have given everything. It is a Como that has quality replacements. When I think back to Rome and Milan……beh, we could have won these games. We want to show everyone that we want to grow again…..”

My life was fast, in everything. At 9 years old went to Barcelona, played with more serious people. Life always accelerated. I want to do everything 100 percent, try to find solutions to do everything to the best of my ability. Adaptability, experience and hunger to do what I’m doing. I am happy with what I have done so far. If you asked me five years ago I would have said I didn’t think I would be here now…..
CESC AND A FADERA TO RECOVER AFTER BOLOGNA RED…
True, he was penalized when he was sent off in Bologna, Diao and Strefezza did well. Ikonè important for us, now Fadera has to show that he is stronger and wants to play. In training, which for me is like a game, you have to play your best. Here, he has to do that and show that he is ready to get back on the field. He has to improve, he knows, but I’m waiting for him. Also in defense we have many opportunities, we can choose who to use.
