U.S. Lecce announces that for the Lecce – Roma match scheduled for Saturday, March 29, the team will take the field wearing a historical jersey to celebrate the 117th anniversary of soccer in Lecce.
The Giallorossi wore the jersey used in the 1976/1977 sports season, a year in which the tricolor cockade stood out on the chest to celebrate the victory obtained on June 29, 1976 in the Final of the Italian Semi-Professional Cup thanks to Fortunato Loddi’s goal that decided the challenge with Monza.
In compliance with the Lega Serie A’s “Regulation of Game Uniforms,” in Saturday’s match the tricolor rosette will not be present on the historical jersey.
