UPDATE MARCH 26 – Patric has undergone surgery and his season is officially over. The footballer, via a social post, announced the surgery he underwent with the relevant recovery time. This is the message:
“Dear Lazio, this message is for you. I owe you an explanation. Many things have been said in these months, but I want to assure you that I have always given my all, fighting to the last, to return to doing what I love most: playing soccer.
In November, during the game against Como, I experienced severe pain in my ankle. Thinking it was nothing serious, I continued to play for a month and a half, helping myself with anti-inflammatories and infiltrations. But eventually, that same ankle made me realize that I could no longer go on. After undergoing tests, the diagnosis came:longitudinal (split) peroneal short lesion
At that point I had two options: operate right away or try the conservative route. Without hesitation, I chose the second path, to avoid not returning in time for this season.
