Lazaro, the break to get back to his best: against Lazio he will be a starter again

Dopo il colpo preso al ginocchio il giocatore austriaco è rimasto a Torino per rimettersi in forma e finire la stagione sul campo

The national team break is an opportunity for all players to showcase themselves on the international field. Taking advantage of this championship break is Valentino Lazaro, Paolo Vanoli’s right wing three-quarter forward who, after taking part in all of Torino’s games except the bench against Bologna in the first leg, suffered an ankle injury against Parma that did not allow him to play from the start against Empoli but only entered the game in progress.

Una settimana per recuperare

In this week off, Lazaro has undergone constant checks, the injury is not serious and in these days he has been carefully evaluated by the Torino technical staff, who, after the three days of rest granted by Vanoli, made him do differentiated training on Wednesday. On Thursday, however, he did not participate in the friendly against Asti, remaining in plain clothes on the sidelines, but still available to support the team. These days he is working at his best and is motivated to end the season as a star player.

Un’irrinunciabile di Vanoli

The former Venice coach has repeatedly commented on the contribution that the Austrian player is providing to his team this season since he is able to play both defensive roles and make himself dangerous going forward with his accelerations and calibrated balls in the middle of the area to find his teammates. Lazaro is making himself a key piece of Vanoli’s game, who without another performer in that role is forced to change the team’s system of play in order to keep the Granata machine running, which is precisely why his recovery is of paramount importance and for Monday’s away match against Lazio he will have an extra day to recover and be available again from the first minute.
