Lorenzo De Silvestri made some more statements, in which he spoke across the board about Bologna’s season, with some goals still to come. With a Coppa Italia semifinal to be played and Europe to be conquered, tension must be kept high and the Rossoblù veteran will be crucial within the locker room.
LEVEL OF THE TEAM. “We knew we had reached a very high level and the hope was to maintain it. Here we have a group of healthy guys and a club that works very well, the hope was and is to fight for a European place until the end and now we are well placed.”
CHAMPIONS. “The goal is to establish ourselves for a European spot. Last year we had a stratospheric season, the important thing is to be there to play for it until the last games. Atalanta model? We talk about ourselves. There is a beautiful chemistry between team and fans, we want to maintain it. It’s been growing for three seasons, we want to enjoy it serenely. We are confident and ambitious. If this time with Europe, would it be nice not to have any big name disposals? These are dynamics that we can’t decide, the certain thing is that in Bologna is good, it is an environment to grow, improve and make beautiful soccer.”
CHAMPIONS OR CUP ITALIA? “We have a very large roster and we know that the calendar in the league is very difficult. We meet big teams in the last days and we have the double semifinals, with such a big roster let’s play it and see. Foil? We did but he stays in the locker room.”
