Le dichiarazioni del centrocampista granata Cesare Casadei al termine della sfida Torino-Empoli, valida per la 29^ giornata di Serie A
One of the names of the moment is definitely that of Cesare Casadei, who also made a positive impression against Empoli. Physicality and great willpower are emblematic of his modus operandi, and Paolo Vanoli, who chose to include him in the starting eleven this time as well, knows it well. His qualities contributed to the important Vlasic-tagged victory that brought Toro the three points and earned him a call-up to the national team. The granata midfielder, between present and past, commented on his moment under the Mole to the microphones of Sky.
Are you getting on well with Ricci?
“Ricci and I are two players who complement each other, he likes to dribble more, I am more of an insertion player but together we get along well.”
Has past experience helped to make it now to the national team as well?
“Yes absolutely, I do not regret anything about the path I took even in England. I have grown so much both from a footballing and human point of view. I am happy with this path I have taken.”
Is there so much difference between Serie A and Premier?
“Serie A and the Premier are two great leagues, the level is very high in both in the league. It is not easy to integrate, I am doing it and everyone is helping me.”
Are you even more convinced that you made the right choice by coming to Torino?
“Yes, I never had any doubts about the choice. After two years where I had found little space I needed to play and I never had any doubts about Torino.”
Who is the player you would like to be like?
“I so many references, there are so many players I take cues from. I have to think about myself and think about doing well. Do I hope to become like Two Bruyne? I hope so but we have different characteristics. It would be nice one day to be compared to De Bruyne but as characteristics I prefer players who fit in.”
La conferenza stampa
Tell us about this intense month? The return to Italy, to Serie A, the first goal, the call-up to the Azzurro. Tell us about this month and a half in granata?
“It’s been a very good month for me. It’s the first few weeks here, I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible, I’m trying to work on the field to fit in as best I can with the group and do what the team needs to do, get on the field and win as many games as possible. On the national team I’m very happy, it’s for sure a source of pride and an extra motivation for me to be called up for the first time is a very big thrill and I’m looking forward to starting this experience to enjoy it as much as possible.”
What convinced you to choose Torino in January?
“They were the company with the most conviction in getting me, they showed me confidence right away from the first minute. I talked to the director and the president. They showed me that here I would have a chance to show off, play as much as possible which I needed, I was coming from a period where I didn’t have so many minutes and I decided to repay them, I’m trying to give everything for the jersey and for the trust they gave me.”
You were at the store on Tuesday. You are one of the fans’ favorites. How does that affect you?
“It’s a beautiful thing, I’m very happy to have entered the hearts of the fans right away, it’s always good to see people supporting us at home and away. As a result, I am very happy.”
