Sandi Lovric, Udinese’s engine ready to celebrate 100 appearances

Sandi Lovric is back to his best level and is preparing to reach 100 official appearances with Udinese. The milestone will be celebrated in the upcoming match against Verona, with the Slovenian midfielder reaching 94 games in Serie A and six in the Coppa Italia. In the current Udinese squad, only Alexis Sanchez has collected more appearances than him.

After a season affected by injuries, Lovric has regained his best form under the guidance of coach Kosta Runjaic, becoming a key element of the Friulian midfield. With two goals to his credit this season, he has resumed his decisive role, demonstrating his ability to fit between the lines and support the offensive phase. Moreover, as Il Gazzettino colleagues recall, his understanding with Karlstrom is an added value for the team, which is now aiming for a prestigious placement.

Udinese’s dream is clear: to return to play in Europe after eleven years. Lovric, with his intensity and generosity on the pitch, is one of the symbols of this ambition. The coach relies heavily on him, considering him the real engine of the team.

The midfielder’s performance has attracted the attention of several clubs, with Fiorentina among the interested teams after following his excellent first season in the Friuli jersey there were rumors that Juventus was even interested. The initial valuation of 12 million euros now appears to be outdated, as Udinese could ask for a significantly higher figure for his card. Lovric’s future is yet to be written, but for now he is the leader of the Friulian midfield.
