On Brey, Udinese will have to watch out for competition from Lazio

As far as the goalkeeper pool is concerned, Udinese, as we at CalcioUdinese had told you almost two years ago (READ HERE), continues to pursue goalkeeper Leandro Brey.

The class of 2002 plays for Boca Juniors, with whom he is under contract until Dec. 31, 2027, and is also the goalkeeper of the Albiceleste Under23 team, with whom he has collected 13 matches so far, and was part of the Olympic selection.

Brey grew up footballly right in Boca Juniors and at the moment boasts with the Xenezeis 26 appearances (with 14 clean sheets, Ed) being closed in the starting role by the experienced Sergio Romero, in Italy seen with Sampdoria and Venezia, but in the past also at Manchester United, AZ Alkmaar and Monaco.

In addition, Boca acquired another experienced goalkeeper such as 36-year-old Augustìn Marchesin (arrived from Gremio, Ed.) who has been preferred to Brey in recent matches despite Sergio Romero’s injury. For this reason, the young goalkeeper native of Lomas de Zamora is thinking of a change of shirt in the coming summer.

On the player now comes competition from Lazio, the very formation with which the Bianconeri drew last Monday at the Stadio Olimpico, so the Friulians will have to guard against a fierce competitor.
