For Antonio Conte’s Napoli, one must record an announcement that came live that, in fact, displaced everyone.
Antonio Conte’s Napoli must firmly believe in the Scudetto since it has the full potential to do so and there are now only ten games left in this Serie A.
The Azzurri have been able to keep up with Simone Inzaghi’s Inter and now find themselves at -1 point with a calendar -on paper- favorable. Francesco Montervino, former Azzurri player and now manager, spoke about the difference in the squad between Inter and Napoli, recriminating a little something for Conte.
Montervino, at the microphones of Channel 8 during ‘Ne Parliamo il Lunedì’ commented on the title race in Serie A:
“Today it gets a little deeper in the Naples lineup, but it’s March.”
He continued, saying:
“What I have to ask is, if we had discovered the depth of this team a smidgen earlier, maybe it could have been centered? Gilmour before these two, in the previous 14 games had done 24 minutes — okay Anguissa’s form, but a few more minutes he could have done. It took us 7-8 months to realize that some players maybe could have done a few more minutes a little bit earlier.”
