As we head toward the end of a season to be erased, Milan is already thinking about the next one. Planning, it is known, has never been a strong point of this management, a problem confirmed even in January with a confused and improvised market. That is why there is great skepticism about the rumors circulating these days about the new sporting director and the new coach.
But, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, although there is still no clarity on Tare, Paratici or Berta, the ownership has already identified the right profile as coach for next season. A name that divides public opinion but which, in these hours, has received quite a lot of approval from the fans despite the failures of his last experience. It is Massimiliano Allegri: at this moment, the newspaper writes, he is much more than a suggestion, but is, indeed, a concrete hypothesis to replace Sergio Conceicao.

The Portuguese coach arrived in the final hours of 2024 and got off on the right foot with the incredible and unexpected victory in the Italian Super Cup. What was supposed to be a springboard for the continuation of the season instead became an episode an end in itself: from then on, Milan reaped only disappointments with elimination from the Champions League and ninth place in the Serie A standings (and thus out of the next European competitions).

This is why Conceicao will not be confirmed: in a climate of total uncertainty, this is the only security. Even, the Gazzetta dello Sport speaks of possible early exoneration in case of failure to win today against Lecce or in the next one against Como before the break (which is usually the perfect time for a bench change). In case of exoneration, Mauro Tassotti is the number one candidate, waiting for June and a new start with, precisely, Massimiliano Allegri.
The last three years at Juventus have been a total failure: for what is defined by everyone as a “resultist” (as if winning other coaches did not care), he has not collected any results. Not to mention the disaster that has been seen from a technical and tactical point of view and on the (non)quality of play expressed. Despite this, however, it seems to be a good solution for Milan. Doubts about this remain, considering that it would be appropriate to choose first the sporting director and then, with him, the new coach, but the rumors coming from Casa Milan are strong and insistent.
