Somewhat surprising news arrives: the Rossoneri club would like to secure an executive we have already seen working in Serie A.

Milan’s sports management has been in the crosshairs of critics for months. The performance of the season brings inevitable negative comments, considering that the team is not performing in line with expectations.
Recently there was elimination in the Champions League at the hands of Feyenoord, not a European big name, and in Serie A the standings situation is not fantastic: seventh place with 8 points away from fourth. Thursday is the rematch against Bologna and it is crucial to win to still have a chance at a Champions League spot. Failing this goal would further challenge management, coach and players.
Milan, può arrivare un nuovo direttore sportivo: chi è in pole
One of the criticisms levelled at Milan is that of not having an experienced sporting director to make decisions. The Ibrahimovic-Furlani-Moncada triad has shown great shortcomings and it is normal to hope that a change will happen for next season.

According to Footmercato.net, Milan has initiated contacts with Fabio Paratici. He is the former Sampdoria, Juventus and Tottenham manager. He is disqualified until June 30, 2025 due to a January 2023 FIGC Federal Court ruling imposed on him as part of a sports trial involving Juve.
Paratici certainly has experience and could be a suitable figure for the needs of the Rossoneri club. He has a great desire to return to the world of soccer and a reality like Milan would represent a nice challenge. Of course, his is not the only profile being considered.
Another strong name is Andrea Berta, who left Atletico Madrid in January after serving first as its technical director (2013-2017) and then as its sporting director (2017-2025). He, too, would be a great addition to Milan’s sports management.
In Italy there are those who give Berta in pole position, however, there are also other clubs lurking. Paris Saint Germain and Roma have been mentioned, but watch out for the usual Premier League as well. An experience in England could tempt the 53-year-old executive.
Other names on the shortlist are Igli Tare (former Lazio) and Francois Modesto (former Monza). Tare had already been close to Milan in 2019, when Paolo Maldini wanted him as his wingman: the thing did not go through and Frederic Massara arrived in the rossonero.
