Osimhen case, the possibility that could change everything: Napoli trembles

Latest Naples- There is one eventuality that could change everything in the De Laurentiis trial: the revelation.

It has startled fans with the news of the indictment requested by prosecutors against De Laurentiis for false accounting. These charges arise on the basis of a series of transactions that took place between 2019 and 2021, aprticularly those concerning the purchases of Victor Osimhen and Kostas Manolas. The club firmly defended itself through the mouth of the patron’s lawyers, who reassured fans with respect to the successful outcome of these situations.

This morning we were recounting how in the sports field the risks were quite limited: Naples in this regard has in fact already been acquitted in 2022, and reopening the case is possible only through revocation, that is, through an extraordinary appeal on the basis of new facts that have emerged since the previous judgment.

Napoli, il caso che accentua il rischio penalizzazioni

This had been the case in the Juventus case, but in that case the new facts were rather strong, since they were telephone wiretaps of the same executives. Today’s edition of “Il Mattino,” however, highlights another possible new situation that would be suitable for reopening the case in the sports sphere: the interrogations of the three young men passed to Lille as part of the Osimhen operation.

Caso Osimhen, un’eventualità spaventa il Napoli- LAPRESSE- spazionapoli.it

These are the three youngsters Ciro Palmieri, Luigi Liguori and Claudio Manzi, who were passed on to Lille as part of the deal but never seen on the field in the French team’s jersey. In addition to them, Orestis Karnezis, a goalkeeper also included in the deal, could also be heard.

The three, in case of indictment, would certainly be questioned in the trial. The newspaper confirms this by also speculating possible questions against them: “How long were they in Lille?”, “Did they ever wear the jersey of the transalpine club?”. It is obvious that the answers to such questions could influence the opinion of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office and constitute new elements to reopen the case. It will be discussed again, however, in a while: only following an indictment can such a question be asked.
