Clamorous surprise announcement by Arrigo Sacchi, return is very close: former Milan coach displaces fans and not only

Arrigo Sacchi certainly needs no introduction. As Milan coach he won everything there was to win, and repeatedly, but what he did went far beyond winning trophies. Sacchi wrote soccer history with tactical insights that later became the basis of modern soccer and beyond. Today’s greatest coaches, such as Pep Guardiola, have taken their cues from what he did in the late 1980s.
He also did well at the helm of the national team, coming within a step of winning the World Cup in 1994, stopped only in the final by Brazil. In addition to Milan and Italy, he also coached Atletico Madrid for a very brief period, ending his career in 2001 with Parma. From then on, Sacchi never coached again. And now, at almost 79 years old (which he will be next April 1), he is resoundingly ready to return. And it was he himself who announced it.
Clamoroso Sacchi: sta per tornare
The Adnkronos news agency polled him to talk about the big issues offered by the Italian league today and, during this conversation, he made an announcement that displaced everyone and, within minutes, went viral: “I’m thinking of going back to coaching, in Italy or abroad.” So yes, Sacchi may be returning to the bench almost 24 years after his last appearance. But where? Apparently, he has no shortage of offers.

During the same interview, Sacchi let it be known that even now he has received several proposals and not only from Italy: “I love this country too much but I have a flaw: I say what I think and so I have to say what I think about us as well. They ask me to go to Brazil, Argentina, Spain and many others. And I am thinking about it,” Sacchi added and concluded. In short, it’s all true: in not too long, we could see the great Arrigo on the bench again. And that would definitely be good for all of soccer.
Throughout his post-career years, Sacchi has remained in the world of soccer by filling other pundit roles. Today he is a columnist for Gazzetta dello Sport and each of his speeches is, as always, interesting and full of reflection. A thought his always refined and that goes far beyond the common view, and this creates as always great controversy because, as he himself admitted, the truth is not always appreciated in our country.
