By hook or by crook, Milan also managed to beat Hellas Verona. It was a more complicated match than expected: against the worst defense in the league, fresh from the five goals they conceded against Atalanta, the Rossoneri failed to create big goal opportunities. In the second half, however, the music changed, also thanks to the substitutions at the beginning of the second half, which have now become a Sergio Conceicao classic: at 46′, in came Leao and Alex Jimenez, that is, the two who packed Santiago Gimenez’s goal, already with two goals in two league games (first time at San Siro).
The game is lacking but this is unavoidable: with games every three days, it is impossible for Conceicao and the team to work on the field and on aspects to improve. That’s why at this stage of the season the important thing is to win, especially for a team that has to chase fourth place in the standings for Champions League qualification at any cost. And the three points tonight are crucial.

The Rossoneri, we know, do not give any kind of guarantees from the point of view of results and tonight, against Hellas Verona, they proved it again. This game could have easily ended in a draw without the play of Alex Jimenez and Leao.
In short, there is a way to be optimistic about reaching fourth place, which, as we know, is the big goal and target for RedBird in economic aspects. Champions League that may mean confirmation for Sergio Conceicao, who has big chances to renew his contract with the Rossoneri if he succeeds.
