Curious backstory involving Leao during the first half of Feyenoord-Milan, what happened

A bad first half for Milan in Rotterdam against Feyenoord in the first leg match of the Champions League playoff. The Rossoneri, fresh from good tests against Roma and Empoli, took the field with the usual wrong attitude. Sergio Conceicao chose to deploy all together the most offensive players with Leao and Pulisic on the outside and Joao Felix and Gimenez in attack. Despite this, however, the team created very little during the first half.
Among those most active and dangerous was Rafael Leao, who, however, could have done better in some situations, especially when, on the restart, he found himself alone in front of the goalkeeper and made the wrong choice. For the Portuguese, however, it is not easy to play because, as revealed by Amazon Prime Video, he is still struggling with the ankle problem that had kept him out of the starting lineup in the last matches against Roma and Empoli (at Castellani he had in fact entered in the second half).
Evidently the problem persists, but this evening Milan and Conceicao, due to the many absences (including disqualifications, injuries and off the roster), needed him. So Leao took the field regularly but the ankle problem is still there and in fact, around the half-hour mark of the first half, the Portuguese approached the bench to take a painkiller; the backstory was revealed by Amazon Prime Video during halftime.
