Bologna’s new acquisition Estanis Pedrola was presented at a press conference today and gave his first words as a Rossoblù player. Below are the statements of the Spanish outfielder.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS. “I thank the whole club for the opportunity, I come from a period when we were not getting along at Samp and here from day one they welcomed me very well. There is an extraordinary level and I will try to give my best, aiming the man I like and I will try to make the most of what I can do.”
ARRIVAL AT BOLOGNA. “Bologna is a team that plays, that gives the ball to the outsides without fear and the full-backs also do well going forward. I like it very much, I’m seeing the situation and there is a very high intensity. The coach told me that Serie A is another world, here you have to think before you stop the ball. I take this as a great opportunity and I am very happy to make the most of my role. I have yet to get to know the city, I went to the mall and I am looking forward to getting to know the city as soon as possible.”
IDOL AND PERSONAL GOAL. “My role model is Neymar, I really like what he does, he always plays with a clear head and I was sorry when he left. My personal goal is to help the team the most and give my best, taking advantage of my qualities.”
INJURIES. “When I arrived at Samp I had an incredible desire, but after that several things happened with injuries. The flexor is great now and I’m happy that I’m fine physically and I’m at my best, ready to give everything.”
SAMPDORIA. “Honestly I had the feeling that I needed a change of scenery, we had in three coaches in four months and you got used to one and then it changed. For the group it was not the top, but the club always behaved great, they always supported me. We hadn’t won a game in three months and that brings us all into a difficult situation, but that’s the way it is.”
COMPETITION AND JERSEY NUMBER. “There are so many players and there is so much quality, with so many strong players, and that makes me grow more. Later we will see, but I am very happy to be able to train with all of them. The jersey number is 39 because I like it and I made my debut at Barcelona with this number.”
MISTER. “From day one, the coach has given me confidence, corrected everything when I make mistakes, and after training he stayed with me twenty minutes to show me what he wants from me. He is on the ball, always aiming for intensity. I can’t wait to face Leao, he drives me crazy.”
MIRANDA. “He left Barcelona when I arrived, but there we had a teammate Fermin Lopez who spoke very well of him. When I arrived, we can speak the same language and that makes you feel a bit like home, but I have a very good relationship with him, as well as with Dominguez, Castro and Lucumi who speak Spanish.”
GOAL. “The goal is Europe, there are very strong teams but we are also strong and we will give everything on the field to achieve the result.”
