Il difensore, ai box dall’ottobre del 2023, è stato escluso dalla lista della Serie A del Toro e non giocherà prima della prossima stagione
After more than a grueling month the winter soccer market has closed its doors, and as usual its closure was followed by the delivery of the new lists for Serie A by the various clubs. Torino obviously could not exempt itself, and in the list of 25 chosen by Vanoli in addition to the newcomers there could only be surprises. One in particular, namely the exclusion of Perr Schuurs. The Dutchman, who had been included in September and provisionally removed at the end of January, does not now appear ne final document filed by the Granata club in the League. The reason is simple: once again, the former Ajax man will have to lengthen his recovery path. The ordeal continues.
La situazione Schuurs
474 days, that’s the amount of time that has passed from October 21, 2023 to the present. For 474 days, now almost a year and a half, Perr Schuurs has not had a chance to do what he loves most: play soccer. It has been a long time since that ill-fated match against Inter, in which the Dutchman injured his ACL and after which he could never set foot on the pitch again. First the normal course of rehabilitation, then the operation that did not go in the best way and the beginning of a new recovery period, as if the previous one had been for nothing. His return with the ball between his feet at the end of April had deluded everyone a bit, but then a relapse brought him and the fans back to harsh reality. It was expected that in this first part of the championship he could pick up some minutes and instead nothing, it is not yet the right time.
L’esclusione dalla lista
Schuurs is not ready yet, and the feeling is that he will still need a long time before he can run and work with the ball again. Also making this clear is Vanoli’s decision to forcefully exclude him from the Serie A roster; this means that number 3 will not be ready until next summer, and the hope at this point is that he can be found at the Filadelfia in the classic post-holiday reunion. The defender’s agony therefore continues, but now it is up to him-even if it is very complicated-to stay positive and not get down on himself.
