Lorenzo Lucca will continue the season with Udinese, despite strong interest from Atalanta. According to reports from Sportitalia, the Friulian club rejected the offer from the Bergamo club, which had tried to sign him after Gianluca Scamacca’s new injury.
One of the main reasons behind Udinese’s decision would have been the impossibility of finding a replacement in such a tight time frame, considering the imminent closing of the market. For this reason, the club decided to armor Lucca at least until the end of the season.
Atalanta had probed the ground for the 2000-year-old striker precisely to cope with Scamacca’s absence, but the Bianconeri club chose not to deprive itself of a key element of its offensive department. Lucca’s future could therefore be re-discussed during the summer soccer market session, when there will be more room for possible negotiations.
