Here is the statement: “Juventus has drawn its last two Serie A challenges against Empoli and more generally has failed to find success in three of its four most recent (1P), after it had won no less than 10 of its previous 11 (1P); Juventus has never missed success for three consecutive Serie A matches against Empoli and only in the 1998/99 season did it fail to win either the first leg or the return leg against the Tuscans; Empoli has avoided defeat in only seven of its last 24 Serie A confrontations with Juventus (3V, 4N), five of which have come in the return leg; Empoli has lost 22 Serie A matches against Juventus (4V, 5N) and only against Roma (23) and Inter (27) has more defeats in the top league; Juventus has won 80 percent of its home matches against Empoli in Serie A (12V, 2N, 1P): among opponents currently in the competition, only against Hellas Verona (85%) do the Bianconeri have a higher domestic success rate to their credit.”
