That Alejandro Garnacho has been the real target of Aurelio De Laurentiis’ Napoli in recent weeks, this now seems to be a given. The blue club has been trying to get its hands on the Argentine footballer without, however, being able to find a concrete agreement with Manchester United.
When it is then also the technical management that vetoes it, then the matter changes and it becomes even more complicated to unblock a deal. Ruben Amorim has shown more than once that he feels strongly about Garnacho’s talent, but statements have come in the last few hours that could prove definitive.

“Ale Garnacho changed immediately since I ruled him out for the game against Manchester City. He changed because he understood that I just want to help him and win games,” Amorim said in a press conference after the Europa League game played yesterday against Galatasaray.
“Garnacho really understands that what I do is never in a negative sense. It’s always for him. I think all the credit goes to Garnacho. He is improving and we want to keep improving with him. I want Garnacho,” the Portuguese coach’s words.
And again, Amorim did not dwell only on Garnacho: “I want to keep players like Mainoo and Garnacho. We need to improve the youth sector and we need to bring more players to the first team, so they feel the jersey and also someone to sell for the PSR. I want to prepare for the next game with Kobbie and Garnacho, for sure.”
