The first formation to be interested in Nicola Zalewski had been coach De Zerbi’s Olympique Marseille, but the player never opened up to the destination. Instead, the latest team interested in the Giallorossi’s No. 59 would be Runjaic’s Udinese. The Friulani would have also inquired about Baldanzi and Soulé, but Ranieri considers them non-transferable and wants to keep them with him at least until the end of the season.
Zalewski could have been part of a hypothetical negotiation for Lorenzo Lucca, a Giallorossi target also declared by the Testaccino coach. According to reports from Il Messaggero.it, however, the Polish national player has rejected even this last option: the only team he wants is Inter Milan, and he seems to be willing to do anything to marry Simone Inzaghi’s project.
It is a pity because Zalewski could have been that side that is missing from the Bianconeri’s squad and that is so much sought after on the market by Udinese, but which at the moment has not closed yet for any of the players approached by the Pozzo’s club during this winter market session that will close its doors at midnight on February 3. Returning to the Giallorossi player, it remains to be seen whether Zalewski himself will renew with Roma or whether the Nerazzurri club will have to pay only a small compensation to bring him to Appiano Gentile.
