Brenner’s future looks increasingly far from Udinese. The Brazilian forward, class of 2000, has attracted the interest of several clubs and is getting closer to a transfer. After initial probes by U.S. teams and Atletico Mineiro, now Botafogo is also on his trail.
The Rio de Janeiro club is looking for a new striker after the departure of Tiquinho Soares, who moved to Santos. Brenner’s technical characteristics would fit well with the team’s needs, so much so that the fans would also welcome him enthusiastically.
At Udinese, the striker experienced a promising start to the season, but with time he dropped down in coach Kosta Runjaic’s hierarchies. Currently, he is closed by Lorenzo Lucca, Alexis Sanchez, Iker Bravo and Florian Thauvin, as well as the injured Davis. Competition in the offensive department has drastically reduced his space, pushing him more and more toward the exit.
From an economic point of view, Udinese values Brenner at least 10 million euros, but could also consider the loan formula. Concrete developments could come in the coming days, with Botafogo ready to make its move to bring the striker to Brazil.
