The following is the note issued by the club: “U.S. Lecce announces that footballer Filip Marchwiński underwent surgery today for anterior cruciate ligament injury and right knee lateral meniscus injury. The surgery, performed by Prof. Stefano Zaffagnini in Bologna, was perfectly successful.”
Marchwiński, who scored a brace in the summer friendly against Nice, played only 14′ in Serie A, on the first day against Atalanta.
