Atalanta, Cherki in the crosshairs but the deal is complicated

With the soccer market closing next Monday, Atalanta has no particular urgency, but remains vigilant in case of last-minute bargains. From France comes a revival about interest in Rayan Cherki, a young talent from Lyon, who could leave the French club in this market window. However, the operation looks complex both because of the economic demands and the competition from several top European clubs.

Cherki e la concorrenza internazionale

As L’Eco di Bergamo points out, Rayan Cherki, 20, is considered one of the most interesting prospects in French soccer. On his trail are top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and Fulham, as well as Atalanta. The presence of these giants makes the negotiation complicated for the Nerazzurri, who would have to face not only bigger offers, but also the player’s ambitions to land in a more visible league. Cherki is not the only name being followed by the Bergamaschi. Giacomo Raspadori of Napoli and Daniel Maldini, currently at Monza, also crop up among the welcome profiles, but both seem unaffordable for different reasons. An alternative option could be Amine Gouiri of Rennes, a versatile and talented player, but on him there is strong interest from Olympique Marseille, ready to insert itself decisively in the negotiation. Among the center forwards, Everton’s Beto, also followed by Torino, is liked, but the track remains poorly defined.
