Ancora una panchina per l’attaccante paraguaiano, che però non pare essere in uscita: Vanoli crede in lui e aspetta il momento giusto
A vitally important success for Torino, who against Cagliari showed that they are in a good moment of form. The granata dominated the game from the start, entering the field in the best possible way, and several times they put their opponents in trouble. A great test overall, which also saw players who took over during the second half do well. Among them, however, was not Tonny Sanabria, who for the second consecutive time remained the entire game on the bench. Something is wrong, the moment is complicated but the number 9 certainly must not give up.
Periodo difficile
Two benches in the last two outings and a total of 8 minutes in the previous three games. Sanabria is having a more than difficult time. Since Vanoli has officially switched to the 4-2-3-1, space for the Paraguayan striker has been greatly reduced, also aided by Adams’ excellent form. However, this does not mean that the coach no longer believes in his own number 9, far from it. He keeps him yes on the bench, waiting, however, for the right moment to bring him in and, perhaps, push him to solve a game so that he regains confidence and self-esteem. Vanoli himself said at the end of the game that “He must not give up,” although it is not easy for a player not to get down when things like this happen. Net of the market, however, Tonny will still have several months to try to win back the Toro and a place in the team; a lot also depends on him, and on what he will show in training.
Verso la permanenza
Speaking of the market, Cairo also spoke about it, declaring, “I think he will stay.” His situation is in the balance, considering how even in recent weeks the Granata management has tried to set up a swap with Fiorentina that would have involved him and Kouamé. Now, however, the negotiation is on stand-by, and when there is little more than a week left it seems more likely that the Paraguayan will remain in Piedmont. Everything also depends, however, on the incoming market, because should a new forward arrive then the space for him would be reduced even more, and then assessments will have to be made.
