RAPUANO LAZIO FIORENTINA- Lazio Fiorentina ended with a victory for the Viola and, certainly, the biancocelesti put their own spin on it, with a game that did not live up to the first part of the season. Also infuriating the atmosphere around Formello, however, was referee Rapuano’s handling of the match, disputed by both coaches for too many inaccuracies.

Che disastro l’arbitraggio di Rapuano in Lazio – Fiorentina !
Referee Rapuano’s abysmal performance is confirmed by the grades given to him by the newspapers: 4 Il Messaggero, 4.5 Il Corriere della Sera, 4 La Gazzetta dello Sport, and 5 il Corriere dello Sport. A glaringly inadequate performance, then, not up to the standards of such an important challenge as the one at the Stadio Olimpico, which was valid for round number twenty-two of the 2024/25 Serie A and was a real crossroads with a view to Champions.
Commenting on the former colleague’s refereeing was Gianpaolo Calvarese on Instagram, who also commented on the Pongracic-Romagnoli contact.
“Rapuano fails to bring home a difficult match. There are too many inaccuracies from a technical and disciplinary point of view, in the last part of the match he loses control and the two ejected coaches pay the price. Lazio disputes a foul by Pongracic who hits Romagnoli in the face with a hand, but the Var cannot intervene because the corner kick had not been taken and therefore no technical effects can be produced, nor can it intervene for violent conduct because that gesture, in any case, is not a red card.”
