Genoa has won both of its last two Serie A matches against Parma (2-1 in March 2021 and 1-0 last November) and has never strung together three consecutive wins against the Gialloblù in the top flight. Moreover, the last time the Grifone kept their goal unbeaten for two matches in a row against the Ducali in the tournament was between February and October 2013 (0-0 and 1-0 in that case).
Among opponents faced at least 30 times in Serie A, only against Torino (seven) does Parma count fewer knockouts than those recorded against Genoa (10).
After it had lost only one of its first 12 home matches against Parma in Serie A (6V, 5N), Genoa has been defeated in all of its last three, with an overall score of 9-3; in the period (since 2018/19), among the teams the Rossoblù have faced more than once at the Ferraris in the top league, the Ducali are the one that has scored the most goals on average per game at home to the Grifone (3.0).
Genoa has gone undefeated in eight of its last nine league games (3V, 5N), recording as many as five clean sheets in the period; in fact, since early November 2024, no team has kept its goal unbeaten more times than the Grifone in Serie A (five, tied with Inter and Milan).
Genoa is, along with Monza, one of only two teams to have yet to win any match played at home in this Serie A: six draws and four defeats in 10 home matches in this league for the Ligurians, who have only once gone winless in all of their first 11 home matches of the season in the top flight (5N, 6P in 2021/22).
After the 2-1 win against Monza and the 0-0 draw against Torino, Parma could remain unbeaten in at least three matches in a row in the league for the second time in this Serie A since last October (four consecutive draws in that case). In addition, the Ducali could record two clean sheets in a row in Serie A for the first time since April 2019 (against Torino and Sassuolo in that case).
Parma (23) and Genoa (20, tied with Inter) are two of the five teams to have taken the most total shots as a result of a counterattack in this league, between them are Empoli (25) and Fiorentina (21).
Among goalkeepers with more than five appearances in this league, Nicola Leali has the best save percentage (76.5% in 12 matches). Since the data has been available (since 2004/05), the record % of saves for a Grifone goalkeeper at the end of the season has been recorded by Mattia Perin (75% in 2017/18) – min.10 appearances.
Andrea Pinamonti has been involved in four goals in five matches against Parma in Serie A (three goals and one assist), only against Roma has he been involved in more goalscoring in the tournament (five, all goals in that case).
Botond Balogh – in addition to being one of the three Parma players to have played all 19 matches in this league, along with Ange-Yoan Bonny and Simon Sohm – is the Ducali player with the most successful passes (681), the most intercepted balls (19) and the most defensive rejections (103); in the latter ranking, only Ardian Ismajli (164) overall has done better in Serie A 2024/25.
