It is a healthy Como that will face coach Baroni’s Lazio at the Olimpico tomorrow night (on the pitch at 8:45 p.m.). The Larian club is always active in the market but today and tomorrow the spotlight will be on the match, here are the words of coach Fabregas on the eve of the match. The team arrived today in Rome directly from Marbella where in the last few days they held a mini-retreat with all the boys present: aggregated also the Englishman Dele Alli who has been training with Fabregas’ group since the beginning of the year.
Good morning coach how have these days of training in Marbella gone, how are the boys?
“The guys are doing well, these have been six days of good work with great condition both in terms of the quality of the field and the weather. We have been working on many things to continue to grow, we are at an important time of the season where we are already seeing very positive things. We have to continue like this.”
Butez and Diao also joined Marbella, how did you find them and will they already be available for tomorrow’s game at the Olimpico?
“They arrived two days ago and trained with the team in the training camp. They will be available tomorrow but we will see if they will play from the start or start from the bench. Butez and Diao are two players in whom we believe a lot and whom we analyzed very carefully before signing them. Diao is very young, 19 years old, and he has already had a good run at Betis, which is a team of great prestige and quality in Spain, and we believe that he can be the present and the future for the club. Butez is an experienced player, he is 29 years old with experience at a great level, he has done the Champions League and won championships in Belgium. We are very pleased with his arrival, confident that he will make a significant contribution to our department.”
The Larian coach also analyzes the kind of competition he expects tomorrow night against Lazio.
“Playing at the Olimpico always gives some extra pressure and it will be tough but we want to go there with courage and personality and play like we did in Naples, Turin and San Siro against Inter. We always have to go out there and play with our identity to try to win the game and then we will see what the result will be. With Lazio it will be a game of possession and transition, in Serie A so many teams play low creating spaces to counterattack. Lazio and Fiorentina are the two teams I identify with the most.”
Are there any unavailable for tomorrow night?
“Sergi Roberto won’t make it for this match, he hasn’t recovered yet after Lecce. Maxi Perrone has started partial training and after the 11th he will start working with the team, he is practically at the top and that is good news. Obviously Goldaniga is out due to disqualification.”
