Gigi Cagni, former coach, has his say on Juventus. Here are his words to TMW Radio: “Salvation? The primary reflection is that the gap between the teams behind and those in front fighting for other goals is there. Names I don’t mention, out of respect for everyone, but the quality is poor. Today it is increasingly the coach who makes the difference. The players are without quality and personality and it is getting worse and worse. The players are unable to do anything without the coach. Soccer is simple because it understands that the important thing is not the tactics but the player. We are in a ridiculous situation and we do nothing to change. If the coach becomes the leader of the team, you will always have poorer players. It is the system that is wrong.”

“Vlahovic is right. The skill of the coach, having players who are poor in personality, is to make them make the best of it. For example, Conceicao at Milan got into the heads and hearts of the players, he didn’t change tactics or anything else. Vlahovic has qualities but you can’t ask him for certain things. You have to find a game that can make him better on a mental level as well.”
