Napoli has made official the arrival of Simone Scuffet, who will partner Alex Meret in the blue’s goalkeeping department. There was, however, also another official announcement.
Napoli’s first purchase was announced just in these minutes: Simone Scuffet is a new Azzurri player. The goalkeeper arrived from Cagliari and will be Alex Meret’s second, in fact going to give a new pawn in such an important department as goalkeeping.
Goalkeeper Diego Del Piccolo, who was their goalkeeping coach when they were at Udinese, spoke about the pair that has once again reassembled as follows: “Scuffet and Meret are an excellent pair, Scuffet’s is an excellent acquisition for Napoli: if Meret is the Maradona of goalkeepers, Scuffet is the Pelé. They are both goalkeepers of great personality, they were making their presence felt on the field since their youth at Udinese.”
