The day of the final between Inter and AC Milan has arrived: the Italian Super Cup is up for grabs at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh. The two teams have already played each other for the trophy in Saudi Arabia, in the same city, in January 2023: then the Nerazzurri got the better of it by winning with a clear 3-0 victory. The Rossoneri will want to take revenge and hope to win their second derby in a row, having already secured the league one.

Sergio Conceicao’s team does not come to this match in the best possible condition, there is more than one player who is not 100 percent fit. Rafael Leao has recovered, however, only for the bench. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, absent in the semifinal win over Juventus, will also be there. Matteo Gabbia has been experiencing flu symptoms, however, he should be at least on the bench. Obviously, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, not even summoned due to their respective injuries, will not be present. Simone Inzaghi also does not have a full complement of players: Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard out, while Marcus Thuram and Joaquin Correa are injured and will go on the bench.

As for the lineups, there should be no particular surprises. Inzaghi will line up his Inter team with the usual 3-5-2. There is some uncertainty about the form with which Conceicao will field Milan. He could start with a 4-3-3, as against Juventus. Mike Maignan between the posts, also confirmed Emerson Royal, Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Theo Hernandez in defense. In midfield we should see Yunus Musah with starters Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders. Alex Jimenez and Christian Pulisic will be the offensive outfielders, with Alvaro Morata as the first forward.
