2 1/2 months without success: home win missing since Oct. 25

L’ultima vittoria in casa del Torino risale addirittura al 25 ottobre contro il Como: in mezzo, tre sconfitte e due pareggi

Torino’s 2025 opens with a point, obtained following a 0-0 home draw against Parma. Second consecutive draw for the granata, who had closed 2024 with a 2-2 comeback in Udine, which changes little in the perspective of the fight for salvation because all direct clashes – except Monza-Cagliari – ended in a draw. Once again Vanoli’s team misses the appointment with a home victory: the last home success is missing even since October 25, when Ricci and his teammates got the better of Como 1-0 thanks to Njie’s first goal.

Problemi interni

Certainly against Parma, Toro would have deserved more than just one point. So many chances created, some wasted and others saved by great interventions by Suzuki. In any case, however, the final result was once again 0-0, and the streak of games without victories in front of their own fans has lengthened. As mentioned, the last success was on Oct. 25, and there have been games in between. Five to be exact, which have seen the Granata draw twice and lose three. Overall, it can clearly be said that the Stadio Olimpico has certainly not been a fortress this term: suffice it to say that of the 21 points obtained so far, only nine have come at home.

Il derby per interrompere questa striscia?

The next appointment would be the ideal one to regain the victory after all this time, because at the Olimpico Grande Torino Juventus arrives for the derby. However, it will obviously not be easy: the history of the stracittadine is by now well known, and Vanoli is facing a team seeking redemption after the early elimination in the Italian Super Cup. There is, however, just under a week to prepare for the challenge in the best possible way: Torino wants to win the derby, to regain victory at home and beyond.
