Who is Casadei, Chelsea midfielder who is liked by Torino

Cesare Casadei è un centrocampista centrale, ex Inter e in forza al Chelsea

Born on January 10, 2003, in Ravenna, Cesare Casadei grew up in the youth ranks of Cesena, moving after a short time to Inter Milan’s youth team in 2018. Growing up in the Lombard team, he improved from year to year, continuing to move up the ladder and always being a staple for Inter’s youth team. In the 2021/2022 season, thanks in part to his goals and assists, the Inter U19 team became Italian champions, beating Roma in extra time. Cesare Casadei himself left his name written in the final’s scorers’ table, scoring the header goal that tied the game and allowed Inter to go into extra time and then win the match.

Casadei: il Torino sfiorato nell’estate 2022

At 186 centimeters tall, Casadei has excellent technique. This player’s numbers are striker numbers, not midfielder numbers. In his last year with the Primavera team, before leaving for England, the class of 2003 had scored 15 goals in 32 games. In August 2022, he was first approached by Torino. Marotta and Vagnati, talking about the possibility of a move to the Nerazzurri for Bremer, also discussed the possible inclusion of Casadei himself in the operation. Juve broke in, however, and everything fell through, so much so that the midfielder was then sold in August to Chelsea. A few months later he was sold on loan to Reading, while the following season he again played on loan for the first six months at Leicester. In January 2024 he returns to base, to Chelsea, and there he remains, included in the squad. The same happens with Maresca in the 2024/2025 season.
